Law A-Z Series, "Letter P".

A "Power of Attorney" is a written authorization giving one person the legal authority to act for another person.  But financial scams targeting seniors and the incapacitated are common so make sure to consult a lawyer if you want to give someone your "power of attorney".   This morning on the television show "Open" I discussed the powers you may not want to convey unless absolutely necessary.  Watch 2nite for the recablecast, Channel 67 Cablevision, Channel 33 Fios.
