Recently, there has been a big push to make automobile power windows safer. This morning on "Open", I discussed this danger, and why a power window can seriously hurt a child. Either by leaning on the switch, or when a parent accidentally closes a rear window, a child can easily become trapped by the pane. The answer: automatic reverse features that are standard on most European and Japanese vehicles. Hopefully legislation will be introduced in the U.S. to force car manufacturers to implement this feature! David Lesch

I continued discussing the "juvenile justice" system on "Open" this morning. If you are a parent of a juvenile who has been accused of a crime, you should contact the Bronx County Bar Assn, and ask them to refer you to a criminal attorney. Their are many programs that might help your teen avoid jail time. David Lesch
