Today's Verdict, 3/21/25

On this edition of Today’s Verdict, Governor Kathy Hochul's controversial move to weaken Kalief's law is sparking outrage across New York. Critics say the backdoor repeal would roll back crucial criminal justice reforms, allowing police to withhold evidence and jeopardize the rights of those awaiting trial. Will New York turn back the clock on justice? And finally, a new proposal aimed at reforming police practices is gaining traction in New York. The NYPD Curb Act seeks to restrict the use of stop-and-frisk tactics, focusing on ending racial profiling and improving police-community relations. I don’t necessarily agree with the position of the New York Civil Liberties Union when it comes to college demonstrations and made it known.   Let me know what you think.  But be nice.  The show is now online:
