I ended my "family law" series with the dreaded "D" word: Divorce. If you live in New York, you might be surprised to know that the state has finally adopted a no-fault divorce policy. This means that a couple need not prove any wrongdoing or abuse to file for divorce in a court of law. Many though believe that the NY legislature did not think this change all the way through.
