I decided to close the year out with a summary of new Criminal Laws enacted by the NY Legislature for 2011. My favorite: The New York State Child Passenger Protection Act, commonly referred to as Leandra's Law. The law was enacted in response to the October 2009 accident when Leandra Rosado was thrown from a car that was driven by a drunk driver.
