It was nice meeting the Comptroller at BronxNet Studios this morning. John Liu made some interesting points concerning New York's "Checkbook NYC Initiative". In the meantime, this morning I shed light on one of the oldest legal doctrines: "nuisance". In particular, how a neighbor's actions can interfere with your right to enjoy your real property. Whether its noise, odors, or even a tree limb, you have a right to enjoy your apartment or house. The doctrine of "nuisance", is a tenant's best friend. David Lesch
