I just met the nicest parents at C.S. 198. Thanks so much to Doreene Bryan, the parent coordinator, who asked me to discuss ways to protect children from school violence. Even in the bad weather, 20 parents came out. With great questions no less.

This morning on "Open", we had a terrific show. I finished my three part series on consumer fraud. I first discussed the dangers of debit cards and finished the segment discussing bank overdraft fees. It is very important that you read the fine print any time you apply for a debit card. In addition, if you do want bank overdraft protection, find out exactly how much you will be charged in the event you go over the amount of funds in your account.
We had a great show last night. Our guest on "BronxLegal", Anthony Rivieccio, founder and CEO of the Bronx based consulting firm, The Financial Advisors Group. We discussed the present state of the economy, as well as much needed tax tips. The best advice of the evening, always ask about potential deductions.....and file, even if you don't think you earned enough money.

The tv show "Ed Cast" was nice enough to ask me to comment on privacy laws as they relate to social networking sites. Jim Carney, the host of the show, came to my office late yesterday with some great questions. The show will air in two weeks. Thanks to the hosts and crew of "Ed Cast" for inviting me on a guest!
